Terms of Use

Last updated: 15 August 2026

Endó does not diagnose anything. It is an informational symptom-matching and tracking tool, not a medical device and not a substitute for professional medical advice. If you are worried about your symptoms, see a doctor. If this is an emergency, call your local emergency number.

1. Accepting these terms

These Terms of Use are an agreement between you and Endó. By downloading, creating an account in, or using the Endó app, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. What Endó is — and isn't

Endó gives you a structured 56-symptom questionnaire and shows you how your symptom pattern compares to the patterns reported in a published, peer-reviewed study of women with and without an endometriosis diagnosis (Goldstein & Cohen, Scientific Reports, 2023). It turns your answers into a personalised set of suggested actions, and lets you log your cycle, pain, symptoms and mood over time.

Endó is not:

A symptom match is a comparison, not a result. A strong match does not mean you have endometriosis, and a weak one does not rule it out — the study Endó draws on was based on self-reported symptoms from a self-selected group, not on clinical examination. Only a clinician can diagnose endometriosis. Never delay seeking medical advice, or disregard advice you have been given, because of something you saw in the app.

Endó's purpose is narrower and more practical than a diagnosis: to help you recognise a symptom pattern earlier, keep a structured record of it, and bring that record to a clinician — in a condition where the average time from first symptom to diagnosis is six to ten years.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use Endó. By using the app you confirm you meet that requirement and that the information you give us is accurate to the best of your knowledge.

4. Your account

You sign in through Apple or Google. You are responsible for keeping access to that account secure, and for everything that happens under your Endó account. Tell us promptly if you believe someone else has accessed it. Do not share your account with anyone else.

5. Subscriptions, billing and renewal

Some features require a paid subscription. Endó offers weekly and yearly plans. All purchases are processed by Apple through your App Store account — we never handle your payment details.

6. Refunds and cancellation

Because Apple processes all purchases, refunds are handled by Apple under the App Store terms, not by us. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.

If you are an EU or UK consumer, you normally have a 14-day right of withdrawal on digital purchases. By starting to use the paid features immediately, you may be asked to acknowledge that this right ends once the service has been fully performed. Nothing here limits your statutory consumer rights.

Cancelling stops future renewals. It does not retroactively refund the period you already paid for, and you keep access until that period ends.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

8. Our intellectual property

The app, its design, content, branding and underlying software are owned by us or our licensors and protected by intellectual property law. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, in line with the App Store Terms of Service. No other rights are granted.

9. Your content

The health information and logs you enter remain yours. You grant us only the limited licence we need to store and process that content in order to provide the service to you, as described in our Privacy Policy. We do not claim ownership of it.

10. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Endó is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that its symptom comparisons or suggestions are accurate, complete, or appropriate for your situation. The matching is derived from published symptom frequencies in a single study, with all the limitations that carries — including a self-selected sample recruited online, reliance on self-reported symptoms, and the possibility that women in that study's undiagnosed group had undiagnosed endometriosis.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of — or inability to use — Endó.

Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim relating to the app is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, or (b) EUR 50.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or under mandatory consumer protection law.

12. Suspension and termination

You can stop using Endó at any time and delete your account from within the app. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these terms, or if we are required to by law. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability — will continue to apply.

13. Apple-specific terms

14. Changes to the service and these terms

We may change, suspend or discontinue features at any time. We may also update these terms; if a change is material, we will give you notice in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use Endó after that means you accept the updated terms.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Iceland, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of residence, and you may bring proceedings in your local courts.
